When you think of organic chicken, you may picture a flock of chickens nibbling away in a green pasture. But what exactly is organic chicken? Organic chicken is poultry reared without feeding any antibiotics or hormones throughout their life. It also means that there are no artificial feed or additives in the feed nor are the chickens genetically modified (GMOs) for quick growth. Organic chicken is produced in a way that avoids the use of additives, artificial growth hormones, antibiotics, and other practices common to conventional broiler chicken production.
